About MCH
MCH opened its doors in the 1970's and has been serving quality seafood year round under the ownership of Mark Koran since 1989.
Our original home on route 6 in Mattapoisett was a converted gas station, complete with a gas tank out back and outdoor bathrooms! Despite the rustic accommodations, guests kept coming back for more of the best in local seafood, including such area favorites as fish & chips and broiled scrod, and of course, three kinds of delicious chowder!
With such great food and at reasonable prices, business soon outgrew the building with long lines forming particularly in the summertime. To remedy this, a new and improved MCH opened about a mile down the road in May 2004. While continuing to dish up many old favorites, the restaurant expanded to include wood fired pizza ovens, a tavern featuring live entertainment three nights a week, and a function room, which can accommodate up to 70 people.
Upon entrance to the building, guests are welcome to look over the fresh catches in our fish market, including live lobsters, all products that can be packed to travel or shipped anywhere in the continental U.S.
Whether you live in the area or are just passing through and are looking for the best in homemade, local seafood be sure to stop by and visit us.
